River walks
My favourite thing to do when the sun's out is to go for a walk. When I first moved to London I'd go everywhere walking, it was the only way to discover all the city had to offer. Nowadays, like every other Londoner I spend my time squashed in the underground.
On the rare days when the sun makes an appearance I make sure to make full use of it. My favourite little stroll is one that starts at King's Cross and follows Regent's Canal all the way to Baker Street.
You start at Granary Square not far from King's Cross and start following the canal down toward Camden. The most beautiful houses lay here and one of my guilty pleasure is peaking through the windows of these houses and trying to imagine what the owners are doing.
With it's wide variety of food, Camden is the perfect place to stop for your lunch or just to have a nosey around. There is such a lot for you to do there and explore, enough to satisfy even the pickiest of people.
Continuing on your way down, you'll get to the back of Regent's Park and the ZSL London Zoo. From there you can have a peak into the African hunting dog's pen as well as the aviary and the warthogs.
Once you're past the Zoo it's time to come back up and walk through Regent's Park. From here you have a multitude of options. You can stay in the park or continue a little further into Queen Mary's rose garden which is absolutely beautiful and I could spend my day just wandering between all the different types of roses, learning all of their names.
